Derek & Dakota

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This policy explains information collected through Derek & Dakota’s website, applications, videos, and communications, and the choices that may apply to you.

1. Scope and responsible business

This Privacy Policy describes information handled through derekdakota.co, Derek & Dakota applications, pre-call forms, videos, and related communications. It does not cover another business’s independent services simply because we link to them.

Responsible business: Remote Business Academy LLC, 881 Baxter Drive Suite 100, South Jordan, Utah. Privacy and support requests can be directed to Support@remotebusinessacademy.com.

2. Information you provide

Depending on the form or service you use, we may receive contact, application, appointment, and purchase-related information.

  • First and last name, email address, and telephone number where requested.
  • Application answers about your current situation, business goals, experience, timing, and resources.
  • Pre-call responses about your motivations, goals, preferred program, and reasons for that preference.
  • Appointment details, communications, support requests, and communication preferences.
  • Consent and opt-out records where a messaging program is offered.
  • Enrollment, billing, and transaction details supplied to the relevant payment provider or to us in connection with a purchase.

3. Sensitive information and payments

Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank credentials, complete card details, medical information, or other unnecessary sensitive information through our application or pre-call forms. If a form asks about financial resources, provide only the requested general information, not account credentials or documents.

Payment and financing providers may collect payment or credit-related information under their own policies and agreements. Do not assume that general website forms are a payment portal or that applying here is a credit application. This policy does not establish a provider’s actual retention or security practices.

4. Automatically collected information

Website and embedded-service providers may receive your IP address, browser and device details, approximate location inferred from your IP address, referring pages, pages visited, timestamps, and technical logs. Video services may record playback and interaction events. Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies may associate visits and interactions with browser or device identifiers.

Our Derek & Dakota homepage uses the Meta Pixel for PageView and ViewContent events, and the Derek & Dakota thank-you page uses a Schedule event. Event delivery indicates a page or interaction signal; it does not by itself verify a completed purchase or actual earnings.

5. How information is used

We use information for the purposes relevant to your interaction with us.

  • Review applications, assess program fit, prepare for calls, and manage appointments.
  • Respond to requests and provide contracted training, support, and member services.
  • Maintain records, process transactions through applicable providers, and address disputes.
  • Send service communications and, where permitted and consented to as required, promotional communications.
  • Measure website and advertising performance and improve content and operations.
  • Protect the website, investigate misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

6. Providers and embedded services

Providers may handle information needed to perform their services. The visible homepage application is embedded from Typeform. Videos are embedded from Vidalytics. Website forms may store answers in our hosted backend, and pre-call submissions are forwarded through Zapier for team follow-up. Team workflow tools may process those submissions. Meta receives advertising events as described above.

Skool and payment or financing services, when used, may process information under their own policies. Hosting, communication, scheduling, and technical support providers may also process relevant data. An embedded provider can receive technical data when its content loads even if you do not submit a form.

Independent providers’ data practices are governed by their own terms; our use of a provider does not mean that all of its services are part of our website. We do not authorize providers acting solely on our behalf to use submitted application information for unrelated purposes.

7. Cookies, Meta advertising, and your choices

Meta and other embedded providers may use cookies or similar technologies to measure advertising, associate site interactions with information available to them, and support personalized advertising. Meta’s handling of information is also subject to its Privacy Policy. We do not describe our website as tracking-free.

Where required by law, non-essential advertising technologies must be subject to appropriate prior consent or other legally required choice mechanisms. This policy is a disclosure, not a consent mechanism; reading it or submitting an application is not automatically consent to advertising cookies.

You can manage cookies through your browser and advertising preferences through Meta’s Accounts Center or relevant provider controls. Blocking cookies may affect embedded forms or video playback and may not block every form of data transfer. Where applicable, legally required opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, must be honored. This draft does not claim that a consent manager or automated signal-processing mechanism has been implemented.

8. Information sharing

We may disclose information to providers assisting with the purposes above, professional advisers under confidentiality obligations, or authorities when required by law. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to investigate fraud or protect rights and safety, subject to applicable law.

If the business is reorganized or transferred, relevant records may be transferred with appropriate safeguards and any legally required notices. We do not grant a blanket right to disclose all information for any purpose.

Advertising-related transfers of identifiers and browsing events may fall within a legal definition of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising even without money changing hands. We do not claim “we never sell or share data” while using advertising technologies. Applicable opt-out rights are described below.

9. SMS and mobile privacy

Where you separately opt in to a Derek & Dakota texting program, we use your phone number and consent record only for the message categories disclosed in that opt-in and lawful program administration. Providing a number in a form does not by itself authorize automated marketing. Marketing consent is not a condition of purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Messaging providers may process mobile information only as necessary to deliver and support messages on our behalf. We do not authorize their independent marketing use of mobile information or SMS consent. General advertising and information-sharing descriptions in this policy do not override these SMS protections.

Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Consent and suppression records may be retained as necessary to document consent, honor opt-outs, and comply with law. See the SMS section in our Terms & Conditions.

10. Email, appointments, and follow-up

Application and appointment information may be used to respond, prepare for a call, and send necessary service updates. Marketing email must include a working unsubscribe method. Unsubscribing from promotions does not necessarily stop lawful messages needed to manage an existing appointment, purchase, or support request.

We do not assert that calls are recorded. If recording is introduced, the team must provide the applicable notice and obtain any legally required consent before recording.

11. Retention

Records may be retained while needed for application follow-up, service delivery, transactions, support, legal obligations, disputes, security, and documentation of consent or opt-outs. A specific retention schedule has not been confirmed for this draft; no fixed deletion period is promised.

When no longer needed, personal information should be deleted or de-identified, subject to lawful backup cycles and retention obligations. A minimal suppression record may be needed to avoid contacting someone who opted out.

12. Security

Access controls and appropriate technical and organizational safeguards are needed to protect personal information. No website, hosted system, email, or internet transmission is completely secure. This policy does not certify a particular security standard or guarantee that a breach cannot occur.

Do not send sensitive information in open-ended forms. If you suspect misuse of information you submitted, contact the team through an existing verified communication or support channel.

13. Privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to know about processing, access a copy of information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing, object to certain processing, obtain portability, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. These rights may be subject to lawful exceptions and identity verification.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify a request, but you should not send identity documents or sensitive credentials through general forms without an appropriate secure process. Authorized-agent requests may require evidence of authorization where permitted. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Send privacy requests to Support@remotebusinessacademy.com and include the email address used for your application and the nature of the request, not sensitive financial details. Response deadlines, appeals, and complaints are governed by applicable law.

14. EEA, UK, and other international visitors

Providers and business operations may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Other countries may have different data-protection laws. Where applicable, lawful transfer safeguards and required disclosures must be in place; this draft does not certify specific safeguards or transfer agreements.

Where European or UK law applies, processing must rely on an appropriate legal basis, such as steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests subject to balancing, or valid consent for activities requiring it. Withdrawal of consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. You may complain to your local supervisory authority. Any legally required representative or data-protection contact must be identified before serving markets that require one.

15. Children

Our business education is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact the team so it can investigate and take appropriate action. We do not knowingly use this policy as parental consent for child participation.

16. Changes to this policy

Updates will be posted with a revised date. Material changes may require additional notice or consent under applicable law. A later policy change cannot create marketing consent retroactively or authorize unrelated use of information without an appropriate legal basis.

17. Contact

The Contact page provides applicant and member contact options. Responsible business: Remote Business Academy LLC, 881 Baxter Drive Suite 100, South Jordan, Utah. Privacy and support email: Support@remotebusinessacademy.com. This policy does not by itself evidence that advertising, cookie-consent, privacy-rights, or messaging requirements have been implemented.
